Deidre Scherer is a world renowned artist who works in fabric and thread. She is also one of our original clients, dating back to the mid 1990s. Trying to capture the three dimensional aspect of the medium was the biggest challenge.
The major goal of the initial project was to stay out of the way. The overwhelming objective was to allow the site to be the art. The art is very powerful and because the design does not diminish the art, the website is also powerful.
Even succesful artists are on a limited budget. With that in mind, we created a custom solution for Deidre to avoid the recurring fees associated with updating the available works, prints, events, reviews, and even the home page.
Over a decade after the last payment was made, the site still hums along. Deidre sells posters through her online store. She updates her events, reviews and home page on her own. This is one website that stands the test of time!
